Baseball and Softball FAQ

What is the breakdown of the leagues in Baseball and Softball?

Baseball: (ages as of April 30th)
• T-ball: 5-6 years old
• Peanut (coach pitch): 7-8 years old
• Minor (kid pitch): 9-10 years old
• Major: 11-12 years old
• Dixie Youth: 13-14 years old

NOTE: Dixie Youth Registration is on Sat. Jan. 16, 23 & 30 from 9:00 am - noon at the Daphne Recreation Department.


Softball: (ages as of January 1st)
• 8U: 7-8 years old
• 10U: 9-10 years old
• 12U: 11-12 years old
• 14U: 13-14 years old
NOTE: Girls under 7 years of age should participate in T-ball.
